Baseball And Fighting!
A game between the Chicago Whitesox and Kansas City Royals resulting in a bench clearing fight. Here’s what happened, Miguel Olivo was hit by a pitch thrown by D.J. Carrasco. Miguel felt that the pitch was aimed to hit him. And didn’t the home plate umpire. Carrasco threw three pitches in a roll just to tight inside. One of the pitches was heading for his head. And when he ducked it hit his bat, which was a foul ball. The next pitch was when he was hit and the charge was on. Miguel never made it to Carrasco, White Sox catcher A.J. Pierzynski stopped. Instead of the pitcher getting hit by Miguel, Pierzynski took the shot to the head. And at that point both dugouts and bullpens had rushed the field. The end result was a few players tossed out of the game to be fined later on. It’s been awhile since I’ve seen a bunch clearing fight. I really don’t believe in the benches-clearing brawls. The team managers should be fined for not keeping their teams under control.
