Breaking Up Banks!

Should big financial conglomerates like Citigroup, JPMorgan Chase & Co., and HSBC Holdings PLC be broken up into smaller company’s?  I have no idea if this would make them more profitable, but some think so.  And then again, so think it would hurt them.  With them losing millions of dollars every quarter something needs to be done.  And would braking them out no one really knows.  I do know that these company’s need to be more profitable, because if they go under our economy could be in really trouble.  So whatever choice is made I sure hope it’s the right one, because that’s what we need, good choices.  Once that happens our economy will turn for the good, you’ll see.

Best Race Ever!

One of my readers over at GajeMaster was wondering when I was going to post on this.  I’ve been very busy the last few day’s – so here it goes.  I first would like to state that I’m so proud of all our USA Teams. And your right GajeMaster, this race was amazing!

If you missed the Olympics 4×100 men’s swimming race, the greatest swimming come back ever, I feel bad for you. The Americans pulled off the biggest upset in history. Coming down to the last 50 meters Jason Lezak swam his heart out. The Americans where behind even with 1 meter to go, then out of nowhere, Jason Lezak outstretched his fingertip on the wall just ahead of France’s Alain Bernard to set a new world record by 3.99 sec’s. The man he beat in the end – France’s Alain Bernard ran his mouth last week about how his team was going to be “smashing” the Americans in this race, not this time! Alain Bernard kind of just stayed in the pool with his end down in shame. As the Americans jumped and danced around the pool, what a sight to see. Even I was up jumping around, which I got yelled at by my wife. My wife also said, “I can’t believe how you’re acting over a swimming event.” Well, the only answer I had was, it’s the Olympics! Way to go Team USA!

Olympics 2008!

Well the 2008 Olympics have final started today.  I just got done watching 4 hours of the opening ceremonies.  I heard that the opening event cost China over $300 million.  It was 10 times the cost of the last Summer Olympic Games.  There were over 15,000 performers in the opening event.  And not one had a double role to play.  Also there was 35,000 fireworks shot off from 1,800 locations around Beijing.  Everyone is saying this is the biggest event ever put on by any country in the world.  This was China’s coming out, and they came out with a bang.

U.S. Olympic Basketball!

The U.S. Olympic basketball team just beat Australia basketball team Tuesday night by the score of 87-76.  This is a really low score for the U.S. team.  Our U.S. team is considered a Dream Team, and they better start playing like one.  Here’s the problem as I see it.  The team is full of leaders, and no followers.  It’s like everyone’s the boss and they all have their own agenda.  This doesn’t make for a winning team in my book.  If someone isn’t pointed the real leader they will lose, mark my words.
