Leisure Bookings!

I was just reading that business travel bookings are at the lowest it’s been in many years. No kidding, what did they think was going to happen when people started to lose their jobs. And with businesses cutting back on just about everything other industries are feeling the pinching. And now with the summer months approaching leisure travel could be down big time. For the people that can still somewhat afford to travel their going to be looking to the U.S. airlines to cut prices. If airlines can cut prices and resorts drop prices as well this summer just might be saved. Caribbean cruises, which are my favorite well need to come down in value in order to get me out on the high seas again. And I’m not the only one that will be looking for deals this summer. If the deals aren’t there, we might not take a vacation. And if everyone is feeling the way I’m we’re going to fall into a depression before we know it. All industries need to work together to get people traveling again, and bring you over price packages down.

New Team Looking Good!

With another great finish last week Tony Stewart “Smoke” is holding 8th in the chase for the cup. As most of you know Tony is now an owner/driver, which at times could be hard. Any new team that involves an owner/driver deal starts slow. But that’s not the case with Tony, he’s off to a great start. Most people thought it would take a few years to see Tony rebuild this team. There’s a reason why Tony is my favorite driver, and that reason is because he works hard and wants to win. Most of you already now Tony left a great job racing for Joe Gibbs Racing in the number 20 car. But now he’s racing the number 14 car – selling office furniture, joking of course. I sure hope he keeps up and moves up in the standings. This would show any new race teams coming in NASCAR that a lot of money isn’t needed, just a great driver.

Dumb People!

Did any of you catch the story today about a bus driver who thought it would be funny to punch McGruff the crime dog? Yeh, it’s true, a bus driver got off his bus, fixed his mirror and then punch the mascot. He did this right in front of a group of kids, what was he thinking?

The mascot was standing on the street handing fliers to children about fighting crime. The man inside the mascot just so happened to be a police officer. So it didn’t take long for the police to track him down, which they did. Anyway, the bus driver has been charged with simple assault. And he being told he needs to undergo drug and alcohol testing. I think he needs more than just some simple testing, he needs to be fired and sent to jail.
