Support The Youth!

In todays world our youth, or next generation if you will is the unhealthiest generation ever, in my opinion. Most kids today are extremely overweight due to eating and drinking unhealthy foods. I guess that’s really only one part of it, the other part is not exercising. In my opinion most of the time it’s really not the kids fault, it’s the parents. Now before any of you jump down my throat over that comment just think about it. If we had more parents purchase healthier foods and drinks we might not have all these overweight kids. A lot of people think diet pills are the answer, if you think so check out diet pill reviews for yourself. But the most important way to lose weight is exercising, which can improve your health and your kids. We as parents should always look around within our local community for sports and actives for our kids to get involved in. If they’re engaged in an actively they’re not snacking in front of the TV or laying in their bedroom staring at the ceiling.

Mosquitoes Are Here!

That’s right, mosquitoes are here, and just about in full swing. And with most of wanting to spend more time outside it’s time for us to start fighting back. Every year I say to myself I’m going to get something to kill these mosquitoes. This is going to be the year that I’m going to fight back, because of the little one wanting to be outside more these days. I just can’t let the little one get stung by disease caring mosquitoes. So with that being said check out the mosquito magnet reviews in this you tube video, I think you’ll all like it. It’s a pretty neat magnet trap for getting rid of those mosquitoes.

Fighting To Live!

I just read an article online about how Army Specialist Zachary Boyd, 19 defended his post in Afghanistan in a red T-shirt and boxers emblazoned with the message, “I love NY. Now this wasn’t his plan, his base came under attacked while he was sleeping. When the Taliban started firing he needed to get to his position, no mater what. Me personally I don’t think this kid is any different than any of the other soldiers fighting over there. These soldiers are fighting for their lives and freedom, they would show up nude if they had to. We have the best fighting forces in the world.

The thing that bothered me the most about this article was that Boyd thought he was going to lose his job. He told his parents that he might lose his job if President Barack Obama saw him out of uniform. But U.S. Defense Secretary Robert Gates said that he would like to meet Boyd and shake his hand for what he did. Gates also stated that Boyd’s job is safe. Now to the part that bothered me. Why should a soldier feel that way, he’s fighting to live. He or she should not worry about what their worried when forced out of bed to fight to live. I could careless if he was nude, he or she should be able to defend themselves any way they can. And for what Gates said, he gets one point from me, still no points for Obama.

Sad Day For Golf!

Just today it was announced that golf pro Phil Mickelson’s wife Amy has breast cancer. Phil and Amy have 3 little girls, all under the age of 10. Phil and Amy are the most well known couple in golf. Phil is the number 2 golf player in the world. And Phil has now made the choice to leave the PGA Tour to fight this cancer with his wife. This just shows the world what a guy Phil is, which I already knew. Phil Mickelson has always put his family first, that’s why he’s my number one golf player. And I know for a fact that people route for him because of who he is, not how he plays.

I have read the over the next few weeks Amy, who is 37 years old will begin with major surgery. Amy is a very upbeat person, and I’m sure she will win this fight. I hope for the best for Amy and her family.
