Ben Bernanke Lies!

Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke had stated to U.S. Congress that he never forced Bank of America to purchase Merrill Lynch. But just earlier this month Bank of America’s CEO Kenneth Lewis stated that it was made clear that the purchase must go through. CEO Kenneth Lewis said that Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke and Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson threaten to replace the bank’s board members and himself if they decided not to go on with the purchase. Now with Ben Bernanke denying it, whose stating the truth? If you ask me their both crooks, their both liars. And because of their actions, the money we gave Merrill Lynch, about $20 billions we will never see. I think all three of these bone heads should face charges of some sort. Their not above the law, Congress should slam the door on them.

Support On Health Care!

I was just reading that Democrats are pushing for support from the Republicans to help solve the health care problems. Their really looking for bipartisan support to help provide health care for every American. America has the best medical care then anywhere else, but the worst management of the system. We have way to many Americans not receiving coverage that want it. And with Obama’s new plan to nationalize it could hurt private insurers. These private insurers won’t have a chance going up against the U.S. government. This type of offering form the U.S. government would hurt a lot of businesses like bcbsnc, which help people get health care coverage. You know what, if we haven’t had so many greedy health care insurers we won’t be in the position we’re in. These providers have only one thing on their mind, make money, not providing care. Insurers deny paying everything, it’s only when you fight with them is when they pay. So if insurers are forced out of business, so be it. It’s their greed that has brought this on.

File Sharing!

Last week I read about a woman from Minn. that she was sharing her downloaded music through a peer to peer network and got caught. But that’s only half the story. She decided to fight it in court back in 2007, which she lost. Her fine was $222,000, based on 24 songs she violated their copyright’s. But that case was set a side because the judge worded something wrong to the jury. Or she could have appealed the case, not sure. But regardless, she got another trial, which she lost again. But this time the jury awarded the recording companies $80,000 per song, which comes out to $1.92 million. The woman said she doesn’t have that amount of money and they will never see it, and that may be so. But here’s the kicker, the recording companies where willing to close the case with a $3,000 to $5,000 fine from the start of both trials. This hard headed woman clearly broke the law, but wants to fight anyway. She needs to wipe out hear flash drive and settle with these companies. From what I read their still willing to settle for the $3,000 to $5,000 fine, she better take it.

All Digital Now!

I was just reading that almost 800,000 calls came in to the federal hot line this week. All these people where calling because their TV’s went out when the switch from analog to digital happened. These people where calling in for help and coupons to get a converter. I find this to be very funny that these people where that stupid to think the switch wasn’t coming. It’s like they where thinking it was never going to happen. These are the same people that have never heard of a compact flash cards for a digital camera. Anyway, I hate it when your told something is going to happen and people just put it off, then cry that they didn’t know. The FCC have been telling us about the switch for about a year now.
