Russia A Major Player!

I was just reading a report that came out today on how Russia will increase it’s world power as the United States will decline in importance. And how a European country could be overrun by organized crime. All this could be happening within the 20 years. And this report is somewhat basing this on global warming and a few other little things. Here’s what’s going to happening. Because of global warming, Russia will be able to get to their northern oil fields, which would help their economy grow. I really don’t know what to think about the reasoning behind that. Maybe the National Intelligence Council, who put this report out thinks whoever controls the oil controls the world. I wonder if the National Intelligence Council knows that the United States has so much oil to tap into that we could have no dependence on foreign oil for like the next 60 years. We just would need to let the oil companies start drilling. A report like this comes out every 4 years, so what will it say in the next 4 years? I guess we’ll have to wait and see how this will all play out.

Our Economy!

Now that Detroit’s Big Three need to submit a business plan to Congress who knows what will happen to General Motors Corp., Ford Motor Co. and Chrysler LLC. I don’t think they will have enough time to get this plan to them before Congress goes on their 2-month vacation, must be nice. The Dow Jones dropped almost 450 points. Making this week one of the worst it’s seen in many years. I would like to say that this bailout plan for General Motors Corp., Ford Motor Co. and Chrysler LLC. Is not a good idea? They need to do themselves out of this whole. I’m sick and tired of the Government handing out money to any big businesses out there. We also need to stop handing out money to banks; it’s not working. And what about people like me, who’s lost a lot of money in their 401k’s. First they destroy our economy, then our 401k’s, and now they want use to bail them out. Does this make since to anyone out there, because it makes no since to me. I say let them all fold, who really cares at this point. Our economy is in the trash and there’s no relief in sight. The White House isn’t an ATM!

Forming His Staff!

President-elect Barack Obama is starting to form his staff. And I thought I would never say this but he’s making some good choices. His staff is starting to look a lot like the Clinton era. Clinton had a lot of smart people working on his staff; they got a lot done. Unlike Bush number 2, he really had no one good working for him. I shouldn’t really say that, there where a few who where great at what they did, Bush just made them all look bad. Hopefully this new White House leadership team will come in and get things done. Obama falls short in a lot of areas, so he’s going to need a lot experience people working for him. And I think that’s what he’s doing. He’s only got 4 good years to make a change, if he fails at it he won’t be there for another 4 years. But if he makes good choices and changes things for the better he will be in office for 8 years.

Election 2008!

It’s finally over, election 2008. And we American’s have just made U.S. history. We now have our first black President of the United States. This country has come so far just over the last few decades. And people across the world are feeling overjoyed with Barack Obama’s election to President as well. If you didn’t know this already, the world was polled on who they would like to see be America’s next President be. And the result was Barack Obama 3 to 1 over McCain. With that being said, I would like to end on this note. I want only one thing from our new President Barack Obama; I want to be able to call America my proud home again. Because for some many years now America has been looked down on from other nations. He needs to bring American’s back together as one nation again. And I hope that Barack Obama will do this. We are the greatest nation on earth, but we can do much more, and we will.
