Copy It All!

As most of you know, if you’ve read my blog in the past, I’m in a great need of a new laptop. My two-year-old daughter, back when she was about 1 ½, she pushed on my screen breaking the hinges that control the screen. What this did was make the screen just flop back and forth. Now it’s not that I can’t afford a new laptop, it’s that I’m afraid of transferring all my files from one to the other. With that being said, I came across a few sites online in the past that offers backup services, which I will be taking a look at. If any of you have any ideas I would like to hear them.

Touch Screen!

I once read about a table that was a screen that could do some pretty neat things.  This new technology is being developed by a company we all know to well, Microsoft Corp.  Microsoft is teaming up with another well known company, Harrah’s Entertainment Inc.  Harrah’s Entertainment Inc is going to be one of the first to have these new table touch screens. The new touch screen is an interactive bar table with some cool Golden lighting, sounds pretty neat doesn’t it. You can order your drinks, watch YouTube videos, play touch-screen games and even flirt with other people using the table screen at another hot spot near by. Now when you go out to places you don’t even have to meet face to face, what are these companies thinking.  I also ask, what’s wrong with this world we live in today? Now that I think about it, not to long ago people would have videos produced to meet other people. Dating firms would create a video’s for a fee to show other members. This was done in every state, even video production Virginia was done. One other thing about the table, it’s a real table, so you can place your drinks on top of it. This is pretty cool technology, I just don’t understand the flirting and meeting others via a table.

More Cuts Coming!

Today AOL LLC, an Internet company said they plan on reducing their workforce by 2,500 people. Their going to be asking for volunteers, which will come with a buyout offer. I read that the buyouts were going to cost close to $200 million. This just shows that the online advertising is still slumping. Also read that new AOL CEO, Tim Armstrong is also forgoing a bonus this year. It’s probably a good idea for him to refuse that bonus, because the talk around the bathroom hand dryers wouldn’t be good for him. Anyway, this cut will save AOL about $300 million annually, which is huge. Their going to force more on what’s profitable within AOL, and cut off areas that are not. I think a cut of this size will give AOL the chance to save money and start fresh. They will help them grow in new areas of the Internet, and make them stronger down the road.

Wii Deals!

Are you looking for some new Wii accessories?  If so you need to click on the link in this post, it will take you right to some deals your not going to want to miss. The Wii is one of the best in home gaming and entertainment ssytems to ever come out. And not to long ago the Wii was being sold on those online auction houses for thousands of dollars over the regular price, which is nuts. Not that they where worth that much, but supply was way done and everyone wanted one for their kids. And that’s what drove the price to record highs. Now there’s too many, and no one is buying them anymore, so the price has dropped. Hopefully the accessories for this system will come down too, we can only hope.
