As most of you know, I’m in the market for a new laptop. Not to long ago my little one pushed on my screen breaking the hinges that control the screen. This caused the screen to flop back and forth. What that means is, some ducktape was used to help hold the screen up. Now it’s not that I can’t afford a new laptop, it’s that I’m afraid of transferring all my files from one to the other. Transfering data from one hard drive to another isn’t going to be fun at all. My father in-law has been telling me to get an external hard drive to back up data, but I never did. Maybe someday I’ll get one, but I still have access to my laptop, so that’s not going to be a problem. The problem is going to be the time it’s going to take me to complete the data transfer. Anyway, hopefully my wireless network will contect the 2 laptops, which should make it easy to complete.

Last year another top executive from the energy giant Enron Corp. went to prison to join the rest of his buddy’s. Joseph Hirko was chief executive of Enron’s Internet division. He is going away for 16 months because he lied, he stated that the division go do things he knew could never do. He also will be paying $8.7 million in restitution. What I like to know is what’s the federal government is letting him keep, money homes and cars? They should take every dime from him and toss him to the street. Because there are a lot of people that lost all their money in Enron Corp. The one’s that lost the most are Enron employees, they lost their 401k’s and jobs, like energy auditing ones. This guy should lose everything he owns. If I was an employee or investor I would demand for that. I just hope the fed took that in consideration when they entered a deal with him.

If President Barack Obama gets his way we will need to hire thousands of health professionals. And I mean in just about every part of the system. In most cases in small towns across America the number one employer in the area will be hospitals. His plan will create high paying jobs, but will cost taxes payers a lot more in the end. I just don’t mean money, I mean care. A government run anything is always ran under poor management. Another problem is finding good people to work in the medical field. I just hope that if a government ran health care plan happens I just hope that it will work for most people. And most importantly, care is given the way it should be, by doctors, not the government. Or people treating themselves, like doing a blackhead extractor , never seen it done, but sure people should be seeing a doctor.

I was reading just today that America isn’t the only country with a huge number of people overweight. An article I read found that 19 percent of Dutch citizens and 31 percent of Irish citizens do no exercise while their working. Their jobs are basically seating around all day on the phone. It’s been several years since I have gone car shopping and it’s never been one of my favorite things to do. It seems like all the dealership salesmen are on a testosterone booster . They love to toss out big car words that really have nothing to do with the car. Their trying to make a car better than what it is. I they love to follow you around, drive me nuts. I know what I want and need, not what they think I need. And the extras they try to sell, what a joke. Most of the extra stuff you can buy at Wal-Mart. So going car shopping again isn’t anything I’m looking forward doing again, maybe I’ll wait another year. After all my cars are still running fine.
